Wings for Life World Run: The Start of a Global Movement

Wings for Life World Run: The Start of a Global Movement is a breathtaking character-led documentary featuring five inspirational athletes and spread across five different countries.

Revolving around the Wings for Life World Run that took place in May 2014, we follow the runners before, during and after the race. Both wide-reaching and deeply personal, we get to know each individual as they prepare for the event – Remigio training in the Peruvian mountains, Gin Oy running under the neon street lights in Taiwan and 18-year-old Elise travelling past Norwegian fjords. We gain captivating insights into their vastly different daily lives – with Jesse skating in the Californian desert and Ethiopian refugee Lemawork attending German classes in Austria.

Although separated by thousands of miles, they are all connected by their love of running and the one race they are all training for, the proceeds of which go to the Wings for Life Foundation to fund research into spinal cord injuries. Our five subjects are truly running for those who can’t.
